Kara Alloway
Kara Alloway is a fashion and beauty journalist turned reality TV star, known for her sharp pen and sharper wit. After graduating from McGill, she joined ALLURE under legendary editor Linda Wells before returning to Canada to helm INGENUE Magazine, which became one of the fastest-growing teen publications in the country.
She’s interviewed fashion icons from Stella McCartney to Oscar de la Renta and later stirred the pot on The Real Housewives of Toronto. (As fans may recall: “Jesus is my best friend.” Yes, really.)
Kara first met the Lord in Catholic school, and He’s been pursuing her ever since—kind of like a divine rom-com. These days, she writes about faith the way Carrie Bradshaw wrote about love—one beauty and fashion metaphor at a time. (Cue the voiceover.)
She lives between Toronto and Key Largo with her husband, three sons, and a tackle box full of life lessons, lipstain and a Bible verse or two.

September has always felt more like a new year than January. In this month’s editorial, Kara Alloway takes a fresh look at fall style through a simple edit: what to keep, what to change, what to add, what to let go of and where it’s worth investing. Because maybe a new season isn’t about becoming someone new. Maybe it’s simply about making room for what matters.
