From Brokenness to Wholeness: My Journey of Healing, Purpose, and Kingdom Impact
Growing up, I was like many teenage girls, shy, insecure, and quietly longing to feel loved and valued. I didn’t know who I was, and I certainly didn’t understand my worth. At just 15 years old, I entered into a relationship with a boy from my high school that would change the course of my life. At first, it felt exciting. He gave me attention I had never received before, and I mistook intensity for love. But it didn’t take long for that relationship to become emotionally and physically abusive.
It was a confusing time. When things were good, they were really good, and I held on to those highs with everything in me. But when things were bad, they were deeply damaging. I found myself caught in a cycle of emotional manipulation, instability, and shame. It wore down my sense of self. It left me stunned and constantly questioning what was real. I wanted to believe I was loved, but everything about that relationship was eroding my identity.
Eventually, by what I can only call the grace and mercy of God, I found the strength to break free from that relationship. That decision marked the beginning of my journey toward healing, though at the time, I didn’t fully understand what that process would look like. God, in His goodness, placed a woman in my life who took me under her wing. She didn’t just mentor me. She mothered me in the Spirit. Through her love, wisdom, and guidance, I began to hear the truth of who Jesus really is and what He had done for me.
It wasn’t long after I fully surrendered my life to Jesus Christ that everything began to change. That moment of surrender marked the beginning of a profound journey of healing, deliverance, and transformation. I started to taste the freedom that only comes from the love of God.
Over time, I walked through layer after layer of restoration, but something still felt incomplete. I longed to be whole, but true freedom seemed just out of reach. It wasn’t until years later when the Holy Spirit unveiled the truth and power of the blood of Jesus that everything shifted. Living from that revelation changed everything.
I came to understand that the blood of Jesus does not simply cover sin. It cleanses completely. It does not just soothe the effects of guilt, shame, trauma, and pain. It eradicates them. That truth became the foundation of my healing and wholeness. I learned how to live from the reality that I was not just forgiven. I was made clean, made new, and made whole.
I no longer carry the guilt or shame that used to haunt me. The confusion and torment that came from abuse and trauma no longer have a place in my life. I have been made whole. I have been set free. And I know without a doubt that what Jesus has done for me, He can and will do for anyone who truly surrenders to Him.
With unshakable determination to spend my life serving Christ by helping others find the same freedom, stability, and purpose, I have committed myself fully to the work of the Kingdom. God has entrusted me to plant and lead an incredible church that is devoted to raising true disciples, people who live fully surrendered lives, not casual churchgoers or religious spectators. Our mission is to equip believers to walk in holiness, power, and real spiritual maturity.
Beyond the church, I have been blessed to serve as a radio show host, a television host, an author, and a mentor to many. Every opportunity I have to speak or minister is driven by the same passion, to see people set free and made whole. I live to destroy the works of darkness, to speak truth in love, and to call people out of survival mode and into Kingdom identity.
My life is living proof that what the enemy meant for evil, God will turn around and use for good. What once looked like a path marked by abuse, neglect, disappointment, and trauma has become a platform for healing, freedom, and purpose. The path the enemy tried to keep me on was not the one I was destined for. And I want every person reading this to know, the same is true for you.
No matter how broken your past may be, no matter how long you’ve been stuck in patterns of pain or confusion, your story is not over. When we truly surrender to Jesus and commit ourselves to His Kingdom, there is no limit to what God can do in and through our lives. He is still healing. He is still restoring. He is still raising up warriors from the rubble. And if He did it for me, He will do it for you.
You are not too far gone. Your pain can become purpose. Your story can glorify God.
