For 25 years, what people saw on stage was very different from what was happening behind closed doors. While she was singing about God and raising three children, she was living in a marriage that she describes as physically, verbally, and spiritually abusive.
Her story is not simply about leaving a difficult marriage. It’s about the years it took to understand what God was asking of her, how He was using her journey to develop her faith, and refine her character to further use her for His glory.
